All us have stories that are waiting to be told. Each story, or slice of our life, offers a glimpse of how we have been shaped, what matters to us, and why it matters. At our March 5th Your Story Your Influence Retreat we will explore what it means to discover your story, embrace it, and share it with others. Here is a sample of what you'll have for yourself at the end of our next Women of Influence Event.

I had no idea of what a family was until both of my parents died. It sounds harsh, but it is true. At that time in my life, I was a parentified child of my four younger siblings. Dad was an introverted workaholic and Mom was a drug addict. In 2008, Mom succumbed to AIDS. In 2009, I was granted legal guardianship of my four siblings. In 2014, Dad lost his battle to cancer. Death snatched my hopes of a restored family. In Christ, I found life. He revealed I could live an abundant life even while I grieved. I am still a daughter, a sister, and a foster mother. I am adopted into God’s family. God has been so gracious to allow me to call faithful men my spiritual fathers and dedicated women my spiritual mothers. A great loss came with greater gain. Family goes beyond my household. It goes into my church, place of work, and friendships.
